Set Heat Index
This tool rolls daily singles movers up to the set level so you can see where quoted low prices are changing. The goal is not to label a set as good or bad; it is to show which sets have enough breadth, direction, and price movement to deserve a closer look.

Snapshot and scoring method

Mover threshold: the normal feed contract requires an absolute low-price change at least as large as the greater of $0.10 or 2% of the previous low; configured limits and the per-game row cap can make the saved feed stricter. Score: mover count × median absolute percentage move + 0.5 × total absolute dollar movement. The score uses percentage points (a 10% move contributes 10), ranks quoted-price activity, and is not a return, demand, sales, or sell-through forecast.
4000 supported printing observations; 0 unranked for unavailable or conflicting context; 0 exact duplicate observations omitted. Data gaps are not zero movement. Different date pairs are shown separately above; per-game feed caps limit coverage.
Interpretation guide
Reading The Heat
Start with Score to find the busiest sets, then use the supporting columns to understand why a set is hot. A high score with many movers usually points to broad repricing. A high score with only a few movers is narrower and may come from one or two standout cards.
- Movers
- Counts supported printing/finish observations in the saved mover feed, not unique card names or sales. Normal and foil observations can count separately. Feed limits mean this is not complete set coverage.
- Up / down and upside share
- Shows whether the activity is mostly upward repricing or mostly weakness. High upside share means more movers are gaining than falling.
- Net move
- Adds the signed dollar movement together. Positive net move suggests upward pressure; negative net move suggests the set is cooling or correcting.
- Total churn
- Measures total dollar movement regardless of direction. High churn with a small net move means the set is volatile but mixed.
- Median abs %
- Shows the typical percentage move among the cards that moved. It helps separate broad small changes from sharper individual repricing.
- Score
- Equals mover count × median absolute percentage move + 0.5 × total absolute dollar movement. Direction is shown separately in net move and upside share. Use the score as a triage signal, then inspect the component columns before acting.
The cleanest bullish read is a high score, many movers, positive net move, and high upside share. The cleanest bearish read is a high score with negative net move and low upside share. High churn with a flat net move is a caution flag: the set is active, but the market has not picked a clear direction.
