Platinum
Booster Box no-chase EV calculator
Estimate the English Platinum Booster Box (TCGplayer product 98592): 36 packs of 10 game cards. Exact Normal and Reverse Holofoil quotes come from generated local data; Market never borrows Low or another finish. Code cards are outside the game-card EV.
Chase branches are excluded: holo rares, EX/GX/V/VMAX/VSTAR, secret rares, Shiny/Radiant/Trainer Gallery, illustration, hyper, ACE SPEC, and other premium rows do not contribute to this baseline.
Calculation order: ordinary pack contents are assigned to card rows first, then disabled pools and optional Sift filtering are applied afterward. Disabled rows do not backfill into other cards.
No-chase baseline
This documented no-chase scenario excludes the 17 Holo Rare, 6 LV.X, 3 Secret Rare and 3 Shiny identities before drawing. It normalizes eligible ordinary cards to 5 Common, 3 Uncommon, 1 non-holo Rare and 1 ordinary reverse-holo card per pack. The official Platinum checklist confirms standard and parallel printings for all 104 ordinary identities numbered 18–121: 39 Common, 42 Uncommon and 23 Rare, including Rainbow Energy #121/127 as Uncommon Special Energy. These yield 208 modeled Normal and Reverse Holofoil outcomes. The excluded identities in the generated catalog are Holo Rare #1–17, LV.X #122–127, Secret Rare #128–130 and Shiny #SH4–SH6. The publisher checklist directly verifies the eligible 104; it lists 130 entries and does not list the three generated Secret Rare identities. No Basic Energy is added. Uniform allocation within each pool remains an existing modeling assumption, not publisher-confirmed factory odds. Draw all 360 game-card positions first; Sift and included-pool filters apply afterward without reroll or backfill.
The eligible Platinum roster has no Basic Energy identities or dedicated Basic Energy slot. Rainbow Energy #121/127 remains in the Uncommon pool and ordinary reverse pool. Non-game inserts and code cards are outside the game-card valuation; no box topper or separately priced insert is added.

Release-specific model analysis
What drives Platinum Booster Box
Product profile. This booster box resolves 360 card positions across 208 named outcomes. The model snapshot dated June 10, 2026 contains 84 Uncommon, 78 Common, 46 Rare. Its largest slot groups are 104 reverse standard, 42 nf uncommon, 39 nf common, 23 rare slot rare. Every listed outcome contributes to the published baseline unless the visitor applies a post-draw filter.
Largest modeled weights. Armor Fossil #119/127 (4.62 expected per booster box), Cacnea #67/127 (4.62 expected per booster box), Carnivine (68) (4.62 expected per booster box), Chansey #69/127 (4.62 expected per booster box), Chimchar #70/127 (4.62 expected per booster box). These are frequency leaders in the product model, not a promise that any individual opening will contain them.
Release-specific card examples. Altaria (Reverse Holofoil) #18/127, Altaria #18/127, Broken Time-Space #104/127, Combee #71/127, Banette (Reverse Holofoil) #19/127, Banette #19/127, Bastiodon (Reverse Holofoil) #20/127, Bastiodon #20/127. Seeing the named pool makes it possible to compare this release with adjacent sets instead of treating every sealed product as the same generic pack calculation.
Reference snapshot value concentration. At the TCGplayer Market snapshot dated August 12, 2026, 208 modeled outcomes have a usable direct or documented fallback price. The largest deterministic contributions come from Psyduck #87/127 ($109.43), Mareep #82/127 ($53.91), Psyduck (Reverse Holofoil) #87/127 ($51.92), Lickitung #80/127 ($43.43), Happiny #76/127 ($40.89). Together those five rows account for 28.8% of the modeled gross value. This dated reference does not update with the live calculator's prices or Sift settings.
The baseline product model is constructed first, including any documented chase exclusions. The calculator then draws the complete baseline product. Included-pool controls and optional Sift evaluate that completed draw afterward and do not alter its collation.
