Base Set 2
Booster Box no-chase EV calculator

Estimate the documented no-chase baseline for one English Unlimited Base Set 2 booster box (TCGplayer product 107610): 36 packs of 11 cards using generated exact-printing TCGplayer price snapshots. Two complete firsthand English Unlimited pack observations support five other Common, two Basic Energy, three Uncommon and one Rare-or-HoloRare position. Uniform allocation within each eligible pool and the retained ordinary no-chase Rare replacement remain assumptions, not guaranteed factory collation. Snapshot dates describe price freshness.

Chase branches are excluded: holo rares, EX/GX/V/VMAX/VSTAR, secret rares, Shiny/Radiant/Trainer Gallery, illustration, hyper, ACE SPEC, and other premium rows do not contribute to this baseline.

Calculation order: ordinary pack contents are assigned to card rows first, then disabled pools and optional Sift filtering are applied afterward. Disabled rows do not backfill into other cards.

No-chase baseline

This calculator intentionally focuses on the cards most likely to demonstrate why opening sealed product for profit is structurally difficult. Pokemon odds are not official, so the model avoids chase-card assumptions instead of filling gaps with invented rates.

Guaranteed box toppers, standalone sealed-product inserts, non-game inserts and code cards remain outside this no-chase model. The six numbered Common Basic Energy125–130 occupy two dedicated physical positions per pack before post-draw Sift or pool filters; their Common rarity and Normal nonfoil treatment remain unchanged.

Sift is a price floor. Row tinting always uses the Sift value; EV only uses it when Use Sift in EV is checked.

Release-specific model analysis

What drives Base Set 2 Booster Box

Product profile. This booster box resolves 396 card positions across 110 named outcomes. The model snapshot dated June 10, 2026 contains 48 Common, 42 Uncommon, 20 Rare. Its largest slot groups are 42 nf common, 42 nf uncommon, 20 rare slot rare, 6 basic energy. Every listed outcome contributes to the published baseline unless the visitor applies a post-draw filter.

Largest modeled weights. Fighting Energy #125/130 (12.0 expected per booster box), Fire Energy #126/130 (12.0 expected per booster box), Grass Energy #127/130 (12.0 expected per booster box), Lightning Energy #128/130 (12.0 expected per booster box), Psychic Energy #129/130 (12.0 expected per booster box). These are frequency leaders in the product model, not a promise that any individual opening will contain them.

Release-specific card examples. Abra #065/130, Arcanine #033/130, Beedrill #021/130, Water Energy #130/130, Dragonair #022/130, Dugtrio #023/130, Electabuzz #024/130, Electrode #025/130. Seeing the named pool makes it possible to compare this release with adjacent sets instead of treating every sealed product as the same generic pack calculation.

Reference snapshot value concentration. At the TCGplayer Market snapshot dated August 12, 2026, 110 modeled outcomes have a usable direct or documented fallback price. The largest deterministic contributions come from Snorlax #030/130 ($52.78), Bulbasaur #067/130 ($21.30), Ivysaur #044/130 ($20.98), Dragonair #022/130 ($18.00), Vulpix #099/130 ($16.46). Together those five rows account for 21.0% of the modeled gross value. This dated reference does not update with the live calculator's prices or Sift settings.

The baseline product model is constructed first, including any documented chase exclusions. The calculator then draws the complete baseline product. Included-pool controls and optional Sift evaluate that completed draw afterward and do not alter its collation.

Selling Fees

Per-row net EV uses percentage and transaction fees. Per-order processing is controlled in purchase settings.

Value Threshold

Generated Pokemon price snapshots support Market, Low, and Direct Low pricing for EV.
Rows below Sift are removed from EV only if the toggle below is on.

EV Range (Monte Carlo)

Runs per summary update; low and high are central quantiles from product openings.

Purchase EV

Whole boxes only (0–1,000); fractional and out-of-range input is normalized before calculating.

Adds the marketplace per-order processing fee in the purchase summary.
