Limitations

  • The immutable product revision does not publish a qualifying English sealed-case rarity breakdown.
  • Publisher-supported fixed-bonus treatment: No separate topper or purchase-promotion pack is included in the modeled English display. AD01's gold-border and alternate-art cards are in-booster chase outcomes, not fixed box bonuses.
  • The display identity and 12-pack wrapper are exact, but display/case guarantees and covariance are not modeled.
  • Modeling policy approved 2026-09-03: every supported ordinary card in the same slot, rarity, treatment, and finish pool receives one equal positive selection weight. This is a transparent modeling assumption where the publisher or empirical sample gives pool odds but not card-level sheet weights.
  • Best Evidence — Japanese collation proxy: exact English wrapper and card-price identities are combined with an owner-approved Japanese-product collation proxy because a complete English rate ledger is not published. This is an estimate, not a factory guarantee.
  • Only the display-level retained pool counts and no-chase normalization are proxied. Card identities, treatments, TCGplayer Low prices, sealed-product identity, language, region, and release date come from the exact English release.
  • The proxy is first-order and product-family-specific. No display or case correlation is inherited, and no target is used as a donor for another target.
  • Within each retained English rarity/treatment pool, exact positively priced card SKUs use equal positive weight where publisher sheet weights are unavailable.
  • Per 12-pack display proxy after chase removal: 53 mixed Common/Uncommon cards, 49 Rare, 19 non-delay Super Rare, 6 Secret Rare, 8 non-delay in-pack Promo, and 9 delay-option cards. These display-level counts come from the reviewed Bandai preview opening, with its four alternate-art/gold-border positions normalized across that opening's six delay-option and two regular Secret Rare non-chase slot-12 outcomes.
  • Replace this proxy when a complete, attributable English collation ledger or publisher rate table becomes available for the exact release.
  • AD01 is not modeled with the normal Digimon 7 Common, 3 Uncommon, and 2 rare-or-higher wrapper. Bandai confirms a 12-card pack and a 12-pack display, the English and Japanese releases use that same physical wrapper, and the exact English TCGplayer card identities in the modeled market group are foil printings.
  • The reviewed Bandai preview opening contains 53 cards in a mixed Common/Uncommon pool, 49 Rares, 19 non-delay Super Rares, 5 regular Secret Rares, 8 non-delay in-pack Promo cards, 6 delay-option cards, and four alternate-art or gold-border chase cards. Later English multi-box reports corroborate four chase hits per display, but no factory guarantee or covariance is claimed.
  • The four alternate-art/gold-border positions are removed before drawing. The preview's retained final-slot outcomes were six delay-option cards and two regular Secret Rares, so the removed positions are normalized at 3/4 delay option and 1/4 Secret Rare. The resulting no-chase display expectation is 53 mixed Common/Uncommon, 49 Rare, 19 non-delay Super Rare, 6 Secret Rare, 8 non-delay Promo, and 9 delay-option cards, totaling 144.
  • The delay-option pool contains the six Memory Boost reprints TCGplayer classifies as Super Rare plus the six Training and six Scramble reprints it classifies as Promo. Those 18 exact English identities share the 9 normalized delay-option draws; they are not mixed into the other Super Rare or Promo positions.
  • The preview did not split the 53-card bulk total between Common and Uncommon or publish complete sheet weights. The 35 Common and 29 Uncommon exact English SKUs therefore share one equal-weight mixed pool; the 33 non-delay Super Rares, 11 non-delay Promos, and other retained pools likewise use equal positive card weights within their supported slot pool.
  • Bandai lists 196 non-Special card types before alternate designs. The exact English TCGCSV snapshot currently supplies 194 ordinary, positively priced identities: 35 Common, 29 Uncommon, 54 Rare, 39 Super Rare, 14 Secret Rare, and 23 Promo. The two publisher-listed Rare types not present in that exact market group are not fabricated or assigned another card's price.
  • Guilmon P-041 is retained as an in-pack Promo card. Its publisher collector number and the official 23-Promo checklist override TCGplayer's conflicting Super Rare metadata. The other 22 in-pack Promo reprints are retained; gold-border Promo variants, alternate arts, Special cards, Rare Pull cards, tournament cards, and other external variants remain excluded.
  • No separate topper or purchase-promotion pack is included. All modeled value comes from the 12 sealed boosters, so the displayed product contains exactly 144 modeled cards and per-pack EV is one twelfth of display EV before user Sift.
  • No-chase redraw policy approved 2026-09-03: Curio, Enchanted, alternate-art, parallel, showcase, serialized, signature, premium-rarity, promotional, and any other card or treatment without a supported pull rate are excluded. A chase hit is redrawn from the applicable supported ordinary pool, so excluded cards occupy no modeled outcome.
  • Simulation ordering is draw the complete disclosed no-chase product first, record that draw, and only then apply Sift or another user filter. Sift never changes or backfills the completed modeled draw.

Chase Exclusions

Excluded chase families are removed from the model entirely. They are never retained as zero-EV occupied outcomes. Each affected physical position is instead filled from its disclosed supported ordinary pool before the product draw is completed.

  • Alternate-art, parallel, and promotional cards
  • Unpriced or incomplete-metadata special cards
  • Unsupported premium or foil treatments

Model assumptions & evidence

Simulation order: complete product contents are drawn first. Included-pool controls and optional Sift are applied only after the draw, and filtered outcomes are never replaced or backfilled.

Release-specific model analysis

What drives Digimon Generation [AD01] 12-Pack Booster Display

Product profile. This booster display resolves 144 card positions across 194 named outcomes. The model snapshot dated September 4, 2026 contains 54 Rare, 39 Super Rare, 35 Common, 29 Uncommon, 23 Promo, 14 Secret Rare. Its largest slot groups are 54 rare, 39 super rare, 35 common, 29 uncommon, 23 promo. Every listed outcome contributes to the published baseline unless the visitor applies a post-draw filter.

Largest modeled weights. Alphamon Reprint #BT20-056 R (0.907 expected per booster display), Analog Youth Reprint #EX1-066 R (0.907 expected per booster display), Analogman Reprint #BT11-092 R (0.907 expected per booster display), Cool Boy BT9 092 Reprint #BT9-092 R (0.907 expected per booster display), Davis Motomiya and Ken Ichijoji Reprint #BT16-085 R (0.907 expected per booster display). These are frequency leaders in the product model, not a promise that any individual opening will contain them.

Release-specific card examples. Agility Training Reprint #P-106 P, Agumon BT12 034 Reprint #BT12-034 C, Agumon BT21 040 Reprint #BT21-040 U, Aldamon #AD1-002 SR, Davis Motomiya Reprint #BT3-093 R, Examon Reprint #EX3-074 SEC, Greymon AD1 001 #AD1-001 R, WarGrowlmon AD1 003 #AD1-003 R. Seeing the named pool makes it possible to compare this release with adjacent sets instead of treating every sealed product as the same generic pack calculation.

Current value concentration. At the TCGplayer Low snapshot dated September 4, 2026, 194 modeled outcomes have a usable direct or documented fallback price. The largest deterministic contributions come from Marcus Damon and Agumon #AD1-021 SR ($14.22), Veedramon Reprint #P-138 P ($10.52), ShineGreymon AD1 016 #AD1-016 SR ($8.18), Aldamon #AD1-002 SR ($7.50), Gallantmon AD1 008 #AD1-008 SR ($7.19). Together those five rows account for 37.6% of the modeled gross value, so changes in those cards can move the estimate materially.

The baseline product model is constructed first, including any documented chase exclusions. The calculator then draws the complete baseline product. Included-pool controls and optional Sift evaluate that completed draw afterward and do not alter its collation.

Pack & Booster Display EV

Pack and per-product Low, Mid, and High expected value ranges from one recalculation. Each physical unit is simulated separately. Fractional display-rate slots are coupled as needed to keep the full pack card count and preserve expected slot weights; factory pack correlations remain an approximation.

Modeled ROI vs entered cost------

booster displays: 0 · Price/booster display: $0.00 · Total cost: $0.00

How is estimated ROI calculated? It equals modeled profit divided by the entered product cost. Modeled profit subtracts that product cost, selected seller fees, and any entered order or shipping costs from the modeled resale value. It is not a guaranteed return; pull variance, market price changes, taxes, and other unmodeled selling costs can change actual resale results.
